The MLSA Annual Report and Accounts are now available in the Members' Area of the website. All members are encouraged to read the report of the union's activities for 2019, the proceedings of the 2019 AGM and the audited financial accounts of the MLSA for 2019.
The Executive Committee has announced the Cyril Keogh Academic Bursary awards for 2020 and the names of the winners can be found in the bursary section of the Members' Area. As the number of eligible applicants was less than the number of bursaries available, there was no need for a lottery and all six eligible applicants were successful. MLSA Head Office is in the process of contacting the winners to make arrangements to pay the €500 award to each one.
MLSA Executive Committee Chairperson Kevin O’Boyle has written to members to acknowledge their vital role and contribution to the COVID 19 emergency. The letter can be viewed in the Member Updates section of the Members’ Area of the website.

The HSE has issued revised guidelines for the occupational health management of healthcare workers and guidelines on leave arrangements for healthcare workers in self-isolation and quarantine. The HSE and unions have agreed a policy on the redeployment of HSE staff during the COVID 19 pandemic, which can be downloaded here. This policy is subject to review on 29th March 2020 and replaces the previous policy issued on 6th March that was not agreed with unions.
The MLSA AGM planned for Saturday 4th April has been postponed due to government instructions. Furhter details will follow.

The MLSA AGM will be held in the Ashling Hotel Dublin on Saturday 4th April 2020 at 11am. Executive Committee nomination forms and AGM motions forms are now available in the MLSA AGM 2020 section of the Members’ Area of the website. The closing date for return of forms to MLSA Head Office is Friday 6th March.
