In view of the summer period the Executive Committee has extended the deadline for receipt of AGM motions to Wednesday 4th of September 2024 at 5pm.
The 2023 MLSA Annual Report is now available in the Members' Area of the website. Members are reminded that the closing date for AGM motions and Executive Committee nominations is this Friday 23rd August at 5pm.
Registration is now open here for LabCon 2024, the biennial joint conference of the MLSA and Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine, which will be held in the Strand Hotel Limerick on and Saturday 5th October. The MLSA is pleased to announce the return in 2024 of LabCon, the joint conference of the MLSA and Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM), after a gap of five years. The conference will be held in the Strand Hotel Limerick on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October 2024 and an exciting programme is currently in development. The MLSA AGM will be held on the afternoon of Friday 4th October.

Following consultation with members and consideration of feedback received from agents, the Executive Committee unanimously agreed to conduct a single ballot of members on the proposed PSA, which provides for implementation of the Devine Report in accordance with Labour Court recommendation LCR22780. The Executive Committee strongly recommends acceptance of the proposals.

Applications are invited from members who completed an eligible course in the previous two calendar years 2022 and 2023. See terms and conditions on the application form. The officers of the Public Services Committee (PSC) of the Irish Congress of trade Unions (ICTU) met with affiliate and non-affiliated unions and associations this morning to provide an update on the public service pay talks, which adjourned at 3am this morning.
